Answers about Croatia
Greetings,
I'm on Hvar Island until at least Sunday and have been looking for a guide. It's just me, but I'd be happy to pay the same fee for a private tour that a multiple-person group would pay. I'm especially interested in history, archaeology, and nature. I see on a couple of guide sites that you appear to still have availability on Saturday. Would you be interested in doing a tour with me that day? I apologize for the short notice. Thanks either way. Best, Liz

Does this tour include the Diocletian Palace in Split. Thank you

Yes. Every tour of Split includes Diocletian Palace, almost 90% of the tour is in Diocletians palace. That is the most important monument in Croatia.

I was searching private-guides.com for a tour of Plitvice National Park from Zagreb in early October.
Do you know guides or tour companies who can help me?
Thanks,
Mark Henry

If middle :) of October is still ok with you, yes I can help - give a tour or a sightseeing myself or recommend if you prefer to go with the agency.
I happen to be authorised guide for Zagreb and Croatia and am living in the Zagreb at the moment.
How many people do you have? Would you prefer private tour in a rented car? What else would/can you see of Croatia?
Need any advise? Glad to help,
Sanda

When is the best time to visit Croatia to avoid heavy crowds? I want to be able to really enjoy the country without having to worry about dealing with crowded places, a lot of other tourists, and gatherings that may make certain locations extremely busy. When does off-season usually begin?

From beggining March till end November. The lower the season, the better you get (cheaper accomodation, no tourists, better food, not too hot weather...). From March till April one can pick wild asparagus, while in October and November
there are pomegranates, in August and beginning September figs...

Dear Joe, thank you for your inquiry.
The best time to visit Croatia is May, June and September.
In July and August it is too hot and there are many young party people. If you want to explore Croatia and relax I suggest you to come in June or September (first half).
Already after August 20th young people are leaving and more serious people are coming, specially in Hvar.
If you have any additional question please do not hesitate to contact me.
Best regards, Sinisa Matkovic
