IF YOU DONOT WANT ACCOMPANY GUIDE LOCAL GUIDE CHARGES 1500 - 2000 FOR A DAY
TRANSPORT CHARGES 2000 - 3000 FOR A DAY
ENTRANCE 200- 1000 Rs a Day ( defend upon monumnets in a City Highiest Entrance is Rs.750 for Taj Mahal one time visit

The cost of transportataion(AC Sedan) would be USD 50 for one day.

I have plans to stay at the Le Meridien in New Delhi but I have read and seen mixed reviews on the hotel. Before I book I was wondering if there are any other hotels that are similar that may be a bit better? I am looking to spend a decent amount of money so I want to be sure that the hotel I choose is worth it.

If we compare le meridian with shagreela and Tajmahal. i shall advise you go for TAJ or shangreela

Made note of your proposed staty plan at Le Meridien, NEw Delhi . Would like to share following inputs which may help you decide your stay .
Location : Well located
Downtown Connaught place is walking distance
very close from some attraction like India Gate ,Presidents House.
While you stay here you can plan visit to North or South of Delhi with good connectivity by metro train or by private car
Building
High Rise building.Nothing exceptional about the building or the rooms..Like any other big brand business hotel where you expect certain standard .Lobby and rooms had been renovated a year back.
Atmosphere
Lobby is very busy all the time as local guest coming for dining are around.Less leisure and more busienss type environment.Rooms are is peaceful.
Nearby Option
Shangrila is on opposite corner however Le Meridien will always be better than them.On the same road Imperial is a great choice . Imperial ( theimperialindia.com ). It is more of a leisure hotel which has its own history.
