World of giant glaciers Eisriesenwelt
Expedition in Salzburg
Duration : 5 hours Languages: Russian English German
Your attention is the world's largest alpine cave, filled with centuries-old ice. On this excursion, you will improve your knowledge of geology and geography, learn how glaciers are formed, and be fascinated by the views from a height of 1700 meters to the valley of the Salzach river embraced by the Alps.
The forty-kilometer Eisriesenwelt cave, discovered in the 19th century, remains an untouched corner of nature in the very center of Europe to this day. On this excursion you will need to show some endurance: don't forget to bring hiking shoes and warm clothes as well. in the cave, even in summer, the temperature remains below zero.
We will overcome the path to the cave by cable car. Unforgettable impressions of the surrounding beauty both outside and inside the caves are guaranteed! It would not be superfluous to also warn that, since our excursion takes place at a height, as well as in a confined space, this can cause discomfort for people suffering from claustrophobia and fear of heights. Photos of the glaciers can be seen on the official Eisriesenwelt website. The duration of the tour is at least 5 hours
