Katerina - Private Guide in Ruse

My name is Katerina and I am a professional tour guide for Bulgaria. I would like to offer my guests the opportunity to get acquainted to an area, which often a sort of stays “behind” in the guide books- Northern and North East Bulgaria- the Ruse Region. I conduct tours all over Bulgaria, both group bus tours and individual ones. At my guests’ disposal is a private vehicle for up to 8 people, which guarantees their safety and comfort. I’m an active driver since 2001.

I was born and raised in the beautiful Bulgarian city of Ruse. It is the 5th largest city in the country and is nowadays my hometown, where I live with my family, after many years spent abroad on education and work.

My experience in the tourist industry is over 15 years. The first steps in this area were as a front office assistant on board of a big German Cruise line. After three seasons there I started conducting tours as a bilingual tour director for a leading international tour company- our destinations were Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Finland, France and above all Russia. For the last 7 years I work as a local tour guide here in Ruse, mostly for cruise line passengers of ships docked at our river port. I have a tour operator license for Bulgaria and I specialize in organizing folklore seminars and festival trips in our country.

I have a bachelor degree of Tourism from the University of Economics in Varna, Bulgaria and I also studied three years in the University of Economics in Vienna, Austria, as a part of an exchange program.
I’ll be happy to welcome guests, interested in our enormous cultural and historical heritage and unique nature sites, but above all willing to get acquainted to us, Bulgarians…
