Abidjan, called the "Paris of Africa" or the "Manhattan of the Tropics", is the largest city and the former capital of the Ivory Coast. It is the commercial and banking center of the country and the largest city in West Africa with a French-speaking population. It was built in the Ebrie Lagoon on several peninsulas and islands connected by bridges. We will see St. Paul's Cathedral, Museum of Combes, Colonial governors office/Orphanage Grand Mosque, Botanica garden, Cava (Artisan Market) and Treichville Market. Abidjan became the capital of Ivory Coast in nineteen thirty four when colonial masters moved from Bingerville to Abidjan but now it is the ecnomic capital of Ivory Coast. Abidjan is a city on the southern Atlantic coast of Côte d'Ivoire, in West Africa. It's the country’s major urban center, with skyscrapers rising above the Ébrié Lagoon, Ebrie are the historic occupants of Aidjan. Abidjan is very lively and nice nice city for those that like night life.
