Crete is the largest of the Greek islands and a fabulous all-around place.  The climate is temperate and overlaps two climate zones: Mediterranean and North African.  This island is absolutely stunning and should not be missed when deciding on vacation plans.  Since tourists have different desire and expectations when traveling, Crete possesses top-rate hotels, apartments, and camping areas that are available for guests.

The Palm Beach of Vai situated on the east coast of Crete is nothing less than breathtaking and has the biggest, natural palm forest in all of Europe.  It is an idyllic spot for sunbathing, snorkeling, and swimming.   Added grandeur to Crete scenery is a high mountain range that includes three separate clusters of mountains.  Heraklion Archaeological Museum displays vast exhibits of the Minoan period. 

The archaeological sites of Minoan civilization are interesting, intriguing, and definitely should be placed on the “to do” lists of travelers.  Crete is also a place of abundant mythology that is interesting and intriguing.
