This tour from Galway offers the opportunity of visiting another Irish city and learning of its famous siege and bloody past. On leaving Galway we first stop at the romantic castle tower Ballylee home of Ireland's most famous poet W.B.

Yeats and set in a beautiful location. Our next stop Bunratty castle and Folk Park enables us to learn of Irish life in the 19th. century with its recreation of house and a village from that time. We then journey on to Limerick for a driving tour of its principal streets before we arrive at King John castle and there thanks to a newly installed audio visual experience you can learn of the siege of Limerick and its terrifying past.

This tour also offers the option of visits to Saint Mary's cathedral or that shrine to the game of rugby Thomond Park. We end our day in Limerick by returning to Galway by the very scenic Lough Derg drive, a spectacular excursion along the shores of this very beautiful lake with its surrounding hills.
