Hokkaido is Japan's second largest island and a great place for travelers to book a vacation. The majority of the island falls into the classification of humid continental climate. This island differs from the others as it does not get as much precipitation and has less humidity. Beach-lovers can enjoy themselves soaking in the sun while in Hokkaido. The most popular Japan beach is Otaru Dream Beach. Another option is Ranshima Beach which is a charming and very lovely beach positioned snuggly in a cove surrounded by picturesque mountains and trees. Guests who are partial to studying culture have their choices of fascinating museums which include the Historical museum of Hokkaido, Hokkaido Museum of Northern Peoples, and Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art.
The modern art museum, in addition to regular exhibitions of first-rate art, is packed with assemblages of modern creations, particularly glass objects.
