Tour Price : From $280 Duration : 2 days Languages: English Discount: 10%

Lemurs are the world’s most endangered primates. Currently 33 lemur species are critically endangered with 103 of the 107 surviving species threatened with extinction

These animals are endemic to the island of Madagascar and I hope you would like to see them during this lemur’s safaris tour.

During two days, I guarantee you to see at least 7 species of lemurs

I would like to give you below details of the plan when you will do this tour from my services

Day 1 - From Antananarivo to Andasibe. (140km) O/N at Feony ala Hotel

The driver will pick you up from your Hotel in Antananarivo at 8:00am.  Thus please let us know the name of your Hotel in Antananarivo.

You drive to the east coast of Madagascar to reach Andasibe. On the way, you will stop at a small reptile park called Peyreras park. at 10:30am and you will have 1 hour  hike in this park to see 10 species of chameleons, 7 species of uroplatus or the leaf tail gecko, 3 species of snakes, 2 species of frogs ( the frogs can be only seen from December up to May). The visit ends at 11:30am

After your visit, you keep driving to Andasibe and you stop in Moramnga city at 12:30pm where you will have lunch at le COQ RESTAURANT.

Around . 2:00pm, you depart from le Qoq restaurant and you will drive directly to vakona park, known as the name of lemurs island. You will get to lemurs island at 3:30pm and start right away your visit through the small islands. To land in an island, you have to cross a river by canoe.

There are 3 small islands over there. in each island, there are different species of lemurs.

In the first island, you can see 3 species of lemurs :the variegata variegata or the black and white lemur, the bamboo lemur and the common brown lemur, in the second island, there are 2 species of lemurs: the dancing lemur or Sifaka and the lemur macaco macaco

In the third island: there is only one species of lemur, this is the famous ring-tailed lemur or  lemur kata.

The visit in these 3 different small islands lasts roughly from 1 to 1h30mn and to get to each island, you ride on board a canoe.

Only in the first island, you can walk inside of it but the 2 others islands you are not allowed to walk in and you just watch the lemurs from the canoe. The lemurs show up at the side of the islands and you will watch each other.

The visit at this park ends around 5:00pm and now, it is time to go to your Hotel. You leave from lemurs island and drive to your Hotel. You will get to your Hotel around 5;30pm. Check-in

Upon your arrival at your Hotel, a local guide will welcome you and he will brief about the plan for the night walk.

The night walk starts from 6;30pm and you hike in the rainforest to see the night active lemurs, frogs and more species of wild animals .

The night walk lasts roughly 1 to 1h30mn so before you go out doing the night walk, you have to order your dinner at the restaurant so when you come back from the hike, your dinner would already be ready.

End of the first day.

Day 2 - Andasibe National park- Maromizaha park and then drive back to Antananarivo, O/N in Antananarivo at your Hotel

Earlier breakfast on this day at 6;00am and then the driiver will transfer you to Maromizaha park where the park guide will wait for you at the car parking. You depart from your Hotel at 6;30am and will get to the car parking at 7;00am

Meet your park guide over there and then you start right away the hike in this park. The park is one of the newest park in this area and you  must see more wildlife animals inside thanks to the help of the spotters who will accompany you and the official park guide.

The hike is rather tough because you walk up and down hills so you need to be fit when doing it. In the park, you still see more species of lemurs, chameleons, leaf-tailed gecko and more species of animals totally in wild.

The hike lasts 3 hours so at 10;00am, you have to come back and meet your driver at the car parking and then, you drive back to Andasibe village where you will visit Andasibe National park.

You will get to  Andasibe National park office at 10;30am. and you can start right away your hike inside the park after getting all your entrance tickets from the office.

Andasibe NP hosts the largest living lemur existing in Madagascar the name is Indri indri. You are trying to spot it during 2 hours inside the great rainforest.

Apart from the Indri indri, you can see more species of birds also in the park since this park is  well recommended by many for the birds watching tour. You will not miss it.

The hike will end around 12:30pm and you go out the park and will meet your driver at the car parking again.

Now, it is time to go to the restaurant for your lunch. From the park to your Hotel, it takes only 5mn drive thus, you will get to your Hotel around 112:40pm.

You can order now your lunch and during the time, the chef prepares your foods, you can pack your bags in the room to be ready for the ride back to Antananarivo.
