Bamako is a city that is positioned in Mali, Africa. Not only is it the capital of Mali, but the biggest city in the country. Its name stands for “Crocodile River.” The temperature in this area is extremely hot all year round. There is rain during the summer months but hardly any rain the rest of the year.
There are great sights to visit and marvel at in this city. You are able to see the Bamako Grand Mosque which is one of the highest buildings in the region and at various times is opened for guests to tour. This landmark is visible from the majority of locations throughout Bamako. The National Museum of Mali is an anthropological and archeological in nature and is a terrific choice in places to visit. Another local attraction is the BCEAO Tower that reaches 20stories up in the sky and incredibly stunning to view. Other treasured places to visit are the Bamako Zoo and Bamako Botanical Gardens.
