An ‘Art Tour’ through Amsterdam’s old city centre and the ‘Jordaan’ area. Discover the stories of picturesque art shops, artists and unique artefacts.
The guests will be accompanied by our private guide. We’ll pass public art work, cosy little galleries and cute bars.
This Art Tour in Amsterdam gives a short introduction to the variety and diversity in art offered in our capital. From marks of the famous Rembrandt to spontaneous art expressions of anonymous artists.
The tour offers a fascinating look at art and the secrets behind it.
In-between we will have a break in a cosy bar or café to enjoy a drink. Your tour guide will tell you how historical figures, like Rembrandt van Rijn, gained their inspiration from this typical Amsterdam quarter. During the tour we’ll also look at the origin of the Canal Belt and the Golden Age, when merchants and traders ruled this area.
We’ll visit some of the romantic little courtyards surprisingly peaceful in the centre of this lively and noisy city. During the tour you can have a drink in one of the many inviting cafés that this area has. Famous bars are for instance "The two little Swans", "Rooie Nelis" and "Music café Lowietje" in nice places in Netherlands.
