Panama City and Canal Tour, is a day  tour visiting the colonial neighborhood of Casco Antiguo.

Brick streets and buildings with an architecture from colonial times of 1673 was once considered a high crime neighborhood, but today is one the most trendy and highly visited area with many giftshops, hotels, and restaurants. Colonial district or Casco Antiguo is today mos visited area for many locals and visitors for walks, dinning out, and also now is considered a unique area to live in.

 Also we will see the ruins of one of the oldest  settlement of the Americas from 1519, after an attack of  the pirate Henry Morgan it was abandonded and relocated, today is known as Panama Viejo (Old Panama) which both cities are world heritage by UNESCO ! The remains of this settlement, the first city of Panama, has a rich spanish history of 1600´s

We will then visit the Miraflores locks of the Panama Canal. The Miraflores Visitor Center building has exhibits and observation deck that gives you a close look at the operation of  huge ships that go through the canal locks  every day !

At the locks you will learn about the fascinating history and engineering behind these huge lock structers. 

The tour consists of  driving through Panama City between stops.The historical sites visits will require at least 1hr of walking outside in warm climate and     sun (or rain) Time permiting there will be aditional stops offered. Tour also takes you to a restaurant if you wish to have lunch.
