I welcome you to the exclusive tour dedicated to the past and present of the local Jewish community (one of the largest in Europe). Tour with private guide in Moscow. The tour invariably includes a visit to the Grand Choral Synagogue, a spectacular building in Moresque style, constructed in 1893 and now being renovated recently. We will drive along Kolomna district, which used to be a real Jewish neighborhood. We will stop by the Conservatoire, founded by Anton Rubenstein, which has always had numerous Jewish students, then Galernaya street to see former ORT-school. Excursion in Moscow.
We will take a look at the Peter and Paul fortress, where III Lubavich Rabbi Schneerson was imprisoned at the end of the XVIII century. Upon your wish the tour can be complimented with a visit to Jewish cemetery and to the Elizarov apartment - a well-preserved house of an upper-middle class Jewish family, relatives to Vladimir Lenin.
We may compliment the tour with the visit to the old Jewish cemetery and/or the Jewish Community Center - YESOD.
Along the way we will talk a lot about the history of the Jewish community in St.Pete as well as in whole Russia, about past and present days.
