Almost every traveler who comes to St.Petersburg wants to see the famous Catherine’s palace. This true pearl of Russian baroque with its famous Golden Enfilade, sumptuous interiors and of course the Eighth Wonder of the World – the legendary Amber Room will definitely impress you. But I offer you something else to make your trip unique.

We will start from your hotel or apartment, drive to Pushkin town, visit Catherine’s palace and walk around the park and then go to visit the Amber Workshop. It is a small hidden place – there is even no sign on the door. And it is the actual workshop where Amber room was reproduced. You will see how the craftsmen work with amber, how they cut and color it. You will hold the raw amber in your hands and since then always be able to tell which amber is natural and which is not. You will have an opportunity to talk to the craftsmen, ask any questions and take pictures of the amber pieces. 

 Visit to the Amber workshop can be part of Two Royal Palaces tour as well. Usually the visit takes about 30 minutes.
