This tour will get acquainted you with this charming city and its history. We will visit old city as well as new modern city. During our tour you will see all three parts of Old Town: Upper Town, where Grand Princes lived during Kiev Rus State period, Lower Town or Podil, near Dnieper River and Pechersk, where the famous Kiev-Pechersk monastery is situated. Our tour will start in Old Town. You will see the Golden Gate – the ancient entrance to Kiev, amazing St. Sophia Cathedral XI c., St. Michael-Golden Domed Cathedral and St. Andrew’s Church. We will visit one the most famous street in Kiev - Andreevskiy Spusk. It is comparable to Monmarte in Paris with its picturesque sight and abundant artistic life. Then we will go down to the lower part of the city and one of the most popular and oldest districts in Kiev – Podil.

It is the old craftsmen’s settlement, where potters, tanners, blacksmith as well as merchants lived many years ago. The life has never stopped here, because of the Dneper River. So then we will leave Podil and go to the most sacred place in Kiev, the place which is very popular among pilgrims, the place where the oldest and the most venerated monastery in Kiev Rus is situated – Kiev-Pechersk monastery.

Pechery means caves in Ukrainian so you will be able to go underground and see a system of caves, which early Christian monks dug in Kiev hills. Also you can see magnificent view of the Dnieper River and Kiev and get unforgettable expressions.
