Erik - Private Guide in Kiev
Languages: English, Espaņol, Russian
Hello!
If you intend to visit Kiev and wish to see as much as possible, but don’t have much time, or you simply don’t want to waste hours trying to get to different places; you'll probably need some help. As a private tour guide, I offer day trips covering architecture, culture, traditions, local gastronomy, or any other topic of your choice.
You won’t feel overwhelmed by innumerable dates and facts which can be tedious and boring (but if you do want to hear about them, I’d gladly provide them). You won’t discover any monument or square that hasn’t been seen before, but I do assure you that with me, you won’t miss anything worth visiting. My excursions can be provided in English, Spanish, or Russian. I also have a basic working knowledge of French and Italian.
As a freelancer, I can tailor your excursion(s) to your requirements and we can walk at any pace: we could do a whistle stop tour or take a leisurely stroll. We can exclude places, or add different ones, according to what you are looking for. From the locations we'll visit, I recommend you select the ones you like most, and then come back on another day on your own to see them in more detail (especially the museums). My rates are fixed when you book your trip with me so you won’t find any price changes once you have arrived here. My trips are child friendly and wheelchair users are also welcome.
Kiev is still relatively undiscovered compared to other European capitals. Whether you are here for a short business trip or a longer vacation, I am sure that you will find that the mix of soviet and western perspectives makes the city a peculiar and fascinating place.
I am 28 years old and studied languages and philosophy before becoming a guide. Over the last 5 years I've worked in the following areas: ecotourism, speleotourism (caving), yachting, scubadiving, cycling, and city tourism, which is what I do at the moment. In addition, I am a music teacher and a photographer.
If you’re interested in my guided tours or need some information regarding any aspect of your trip before you arrive, please contact me via the web. I look forward to meeting you in Kiev...
