You will hear from a lot of people that there are four main Ukrainian cities worth seeing: Kiev, Lviv, Odessa and Kamyanets-Podilskyy. And while the first three cities are rather large and popular in terms of tourism, the small town of Kamyanets-Podilskyy often remains as an exotic discovery for most visitors. Still, there are some guided tours in Ucraina that will take you to this small and cozy town, which is considered as one of the most important cultural and historic sites in the country.

The city was first mentioned in historical records that date back to the 11th century. However, recent evidence have established that the city was based on a much older settlement, believed to have been established by Dacians, who inhabited this region well before the beginning of current era. Today there are many historical places spread around Kamyanets-Podilskyy, the Old Castle certainly being the most fascinating of them.
