Round Cuba in a week
Private tour in Havana
Tour Price : 25 a day Duration : 8 days Languages: English, Russian, Spanish, French
Hey folks!
If you are one of those tourists who want to see the real Cuba but your time is limited to 7-8 days you should come with me. An English-speaking Cuban guide will help you make the most of your time in the island and get a flavour of Cuban character, drinks, music, dance, arts and the true Cuban atmosphere. The need for a private guide actually arises when you don't speak Spanish. I can help you save your money. I provide advice on accomodations and dining recommendations for travelers of all budgets. The itinerary will be arranged according to your own interests, likes and mood.
Our itinerary could be like this:
In Havana you will probably have a delightful experience as it is so full of colour and energy and friendly people. Departing from Havana, we can first go to the western part of the island. The Viñales Valley has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since November 1999, for the outstanding karst landscape and traditional agriculture as well as vernacular architecture, crafts and music.
Attractions in Viñales include the Museo Municipal, Casa de Caridad Botanical Gardens, Museo Paleontológico, Palenque (a Maroon village) and the nearby caves (Cueva del Indio, Cueva de José Miguel, Cueva de Santo Tomás) in Valle de Viñales National Park, which were refuges for runaway slaves.
On the way back we can stop at an amazing orchid garden containing a large number of species. After that we can go to the southern tip of Matanzas Province. Where there are many white-sand beaches and coral reefs for scuba-divers. La cienaga de Zapata is also a marsh where you can find crocodile farms and exotic birds. One of the spots most ignored by offical travel agencies is the Escambray mountains region. It is not just trekking, hiking and birdwatching, there are lakes with fantastic views, unnoticed waterfalls and much more.
From there we can choose to give Trinidad a look. Trinidad was founded in 1514 by Diego Velázquez de Cuéllar under the name Villa De la Santísima Trinidad. It's one of the best preserved cities in the Caribbean from the time when the sugar trade was the main industry in the region. Outside the city lies the Ancón peninsula with a long sandy beach (Playa Ancón) and several resort hotels. Ancón was one of the first new resorts to be developed in Cuba following the 1959 revolution. Then there are the keys, for Cuba is not just an island but an archipelago surrounded by thousands of small islands and islets. Okay, just to make a long story short I'll end up right here. To the east we've got the cities of Santiago, Bayamo, Holguin and one of the favorite sites as far as natural beauty is concerned: Baracoa.
We'll try to make the perfect combination of pleasure and learning. After this trip with me you will be able to say that you've made an in-depth exploration of Cuba's unique culture and fascinating history.
Welcome to Cuba!!!
