This trip combines beautiful Cyprus nature (high mountains and forest) with excellent cultural heritage in the form of a Unesco World Heritage Troodos painted church and a well-preserved old part of a mountain village.

The trip starts and finishes in Larnaca or Limassol (unless other arrangements are made, possibly at a different price), has a main walk and can be customised as per travelers' preference :

1) A walk on the flat 8-km long Artemis walking Trail at the top of geologically unique Troodos. Walkers enjoy a very particular ecosystem and incredible views of a large area of Cyprus. This is a Top 5 walk in Cyprus. 

2) Explore on foot the picturesque old part of Kakopetria village, found between two streams.  Besides meandering around the narrow streets, there are other attractions such as old olive and grape presses, an old church and watermill and a short walk next to the shaded stream.  

3) Visit the Unesco World Heritage Agios Nicolaos tis Stegis Painted Church (dating from the 11nth century).

Cyprus coffee at a balcony overlooking the shaded stream in Kakopetria is highly recommended, as is a fresh trout meal at a nearby restaurant.
