During our walk you will get acquainted with the history of the Czech and Moravian Jews in Maisel Synagogue. This synagogue is a part of the unique Jewish Museum, the most frequented museum in the country. It looks after 4 synagogues and the Old Jewish cemetery, the best preserved historical Jewish cemetery in Europe. The Museum houses the largest European collection of Jewish artefacts. We will visit the memorial to 80 000 Jews who were murdered by Nazi during the WWII in the Pinkasova synagoga. From here we walk into the historical cemetery. The Jewish customs and tradition related to birth, maturity, wedding and holidays will will be drawn to your attention in the Klausova synagoga. In the Ceremonial Hall of the Burial Brotherhood you will see the unique drawings depicting the the moments of death. Then we go into the 13th century Old-New synagogue, the oldest surviving synagogue in Europe. You will see the original medieval setting of the synagogue
