The Czech Republic has gone through a lot – it used to be called Czechoslovakia and has some additional territories, it experienced the pernicious influence of Hitler and his Nazi occupation, it had to deal with Stalin and Russian invasion, it went through the so-called Velvet Revolution and finally it was separated which lead to the establishment of the modern Czech Republic. Surprisingly but all these events happened during a single century.
