Quito is an absolutely fabulous city to visit. Quito, actually San Francisco de Quito, is the capital city of Ecuador and has a subtropical highland climate. La Mariscal is known as the city's entertainment center. It is the gathering place of locals in addition to tourists due to its multicultural atmosphere. Quito has welcoming parks that guests make a point of visiting during their treks.
Parque Metropolitano Guanguiltagua is the most immense urban park in South America. This park is perfect for mountain biking, walking, r unning, picnicking, and there are a multitude of eye-catching sculptures on display. Parque Bicentenario is the second biggest city park in Quito and features a man-made pond and incredibly over one thousand trees. The Telefériqo is a visitor hub that contains an amusement park, restaurants, shopping malls, an extensive food court, and other attractions.
Pululahua Geobotanical Reserve is famous for the Pululahua volcano, whose crater is visible from a particular location that can be arrived at by automobile. It is believed to be one of only a few in the world where people actually live. Maquipucuna Reserve shelters more than 1966 species of plants and almost 400 bird species. Museo de Arte Contemporaneas showcases interesting permanent and temporary displays. Casa del Alabado has a collection of pre-colonial art.
