Champagne Tour
Wine tasting tour in Paris
Tour Price : 590 EUR Duration : 10 hours Languages: French, English, Spanish, Japanese
Champagne-Ardennes is a historical region in France located 90 minutes away from Paris. During the World War I, the Germans and the French had important battles in the area and the sparkling French wine called “Champagne”, comes from this very region.
Reims is an adorable place, so this will be our first stop and Taittinger will be the first cellar we’ll visit. We’ve heard that in this house we’ll find an extraordinary spirit and one of the greatest wines in France. The cellar was my first choice because it’s perfect from all points of view. Not to mention that Reims and this cellar have an amazing history together. To begin with, we visited the cellar. Afterwards, we tasted some of their best wines and we ended our tour with a shopping spree. The prices were indeed affordable.
Drouet d’Erlon Square was our location for lunch. Here is where most citizens, “Remois”, have dinner and lunch. They prefer this place because it’s not that crowded with tourists. Le Gaulois is definitely my favorite restaurant in this square and I strongly recommend it. This nice eating place preserves Reims’ spirit and style by featuring a lovely Art Deco design.
After lunch we got in the car and Epernay was our next stop. This place is only 30 minutes away from Reims. It’s a paradise for Champagne because this is the place is where people produce the grapes. The most extraordinary spectacle can be seen during the summer months, when Epernay is covered by a myriad of grapes. The cellar Moet et Chandon’s is the top attraction in Epernay. Here you’ll find one of France’s greatest champagnes. It’s called “The Grand Vintage” and it is extraordinary. You cannot leave the place without tasting it. Overall, the wine tasting experience will certainly be an unforgettable experience for tourists seeking for a bit of excitement throughout their journey.

This was our first excursion and it was wonderful. We were a group of four visiting Reims and the champagne region in France for a day trip. David was very professional, helpful, with a great sense of humor. He tailored the day to accommodate what we wanted to see and do, which certainly included touring champagne caves and the burial spot of Dom Perignon. Having David as our guide was like having a friend take us on the tour. Thank you, David for such a wonderful day!
