There are many myths and stories around the mysterious Mont Saint-Michel. This abbey dates from the 7th century, around the Middle Ages. A stopover to the Mont can be a unique experience, especially when you’ll discover the high tides and the water that surround it. This is one of the reasons for the large number of tourists who come here every year.
The trip will start early in the morning. I am going to pick you up and we will drive almost four hours to get to Saint Michel. Along the way, you will see the Normandy region and its amazing landscapes. It is said to be one of France’s loveliest regions. We will have a short stop for lunch in Caen. This beautiful French city was the home of William the Conqueror. Hid Middle Age castle can still be seen in Caen.
Vaugueux Street will be the place where we’ll have our lunch. This picturesque street is popular among the locals. They take their dinner and lunch here because it’s not that crowded with visitors. Take your time to admire this street because it’s charming and unique, and it features a beautiful Norman architecture. If you want to taste something different, try La Fringale. Here you’ll eat the most delicious French – Norman dishes.
From Caen we only have 2 hours and we’ll get to the abbey. In the afternoon we’ll be there. Once we arrive, you’ll have all the time in the world to explore the place. I will guide you and I will tell you everything you want to know about Mont Saint Michel. The tour encompasses the audio-guides and the entrance fee.
