Tusheti region is a mountainous and the wildest reagion of Georgia, with medieval centuries tower villages and high up mountains. The region is located at the north-east part of Georgia and most of the villages are settled in alpine zone (more than 2000m ASL).
The place is great to hike and have a horse-back riding to different directions of the area. early medieval centuies villages of Omalo, Dartlo, Shenako and Dochu could be considered as Highlights of Tusheti. On the way to the region you`ll be able to visit following places: Ujarma 3rd century King`s residence, Telavi city wall and the king Irakli II-s residence, Alaverdi complex, abano pass (2926m ASL), Omalo (center of the region) and than choose whatever direction on the next day 9upon your request)... dear travelers, you are the boses during the tour  :))
