Hungary is generally a very beautiful country, but there are certain areas there which are exclusively and incomparably beautiful. I am referring to a number of cities where the marvelous Danube River flows. This tour is one of the most popular ones among the guided tours in Hungary.

We will visit three remarkable places during this tour, and the first one will be Esztergom. It is said to be the oldest town in all of Hungary, so it is no wonder so many tourists visit it annually. As a matter of fact, it used to be the capital of Hungary for three centuries—from the 10th to the middle of the 13th century.

Visegrád is located in the middle of the Danube Bend. It was Hungary's Royal Seat in the 14th and 15th centuries. There is a Fortress on the hilltop with a breathtaking view of the hairpin turn of the Danube. This is one of the rare places where the river actually looks blue. The Castle functions as a museum today where visitors can get an authentic medieval impression.

Szentendre is also known as an "artists' village." It has been favored by many local artists because of its friendly and picturesque ambiance. There are narrow, cobblestone streets, colorful houses with small courtyards, museums, and lots of handicraft shops. The Szabó Marzipan Museum and the Museum of Micro Miracles are real "must-see" places.
