Reykjavik is the world’s northernmost capital city and also the largest city in Iceland. Over 300,000 people live in and around this city located on the southern coast of Faxofloi Bay near the Akrafjall and Esja mountains.

Many tourists enjoy the Golden Circle Route, which is a scenic drive encompassing many major sights such as the breathtaking Golfuss (Golden) Waterfalls, the Geysers, and Thingvellir. Horseback riding tours and white water rafting are other popular adventures for visitors to Reykjavik, and natural thermal springs are perfect for spa centers like Laugardalslaug.

There are many spectacular artistic and architectural sights in Reykjavik, such as the Solfar (Sun Voyager) sculpture and the amazing Iclandic Opera building.
