Throughout the history the needs of Riga's inhabitants have constantly been changing. At the very begining of 20th cent. forest park with only summer cottages appeared 4 km away from city's center. For people entertainment Riga Zoo was opened.

Populated with wealthy Germans, Latvians, who were famous doctors, professors, lawyers, industrialists, the area grew in popularity for it curative atmosphere and healthy life style of the countryside just 4 km away from the center. 50 ha of wood land on the shore of the lake Kīšezers, beautiful Zoo, different architectural styles: Jugendstil, Functionalism, Art Deco - thateverything you'll see during your excursion to Mezaparks. We'll meet you at the place and time, convenient for you. Further we'll have the presentation walk and talk about Mezaparks, will follow to different interesting places, you'll spend memorable time on the fresh open air.

The excursion will be interesting for the children as, after you'll walk around the main facilities of the park - you'll have free time to visit the Zoo on your own expense, or to continue with visiting play-grounds for children aged from 1,5 - 16 y.o.
