Day 1: Skopje Morning visit of the most famous Skopje church - the Church of Holy Salvation (St. Spas) and the Monastery of St. Panteleimon located deep in the nearest mountain - Vodno. Departure towards Mavrovo National park and the unique Radika river valley in the west part of the country. Visit of Saint Jovan Bigorski Monasterywell known by its unique iconostasis from 19th century.Late afternoon arrival in Ohrid, the city known as “Balkan pearl”. Day 2 Ohrid and Ohrid lake The city of Ohrid is located on the shore of Lake Ohrid, 695 m height above sea level, at the very south part of Macedonia. From prehistoric and classical times (when Ohrid was known as Lychnidos, the “City of light”) the Lake Ohrid region has been an important center of culture and learning. Its Slavic name, Arida, was mentioned later with the arrival of the Slavs. At 10th century town becomes major center of southern Slav learning and since than countless icons frescos and mosaics have been create. This monument town is a cradle of the Slavic written language and literature in The 9th century, spread over the rest Slavic peoples first by the brothers Ciril and Methody, and later by their pupils. Ohrid city tour starts with light walking to the hill where the Old Ohrid is situated. Visit of the most famous Ohrid sights - Church of St. Mother of God, the Icon Gallery, Plaoshnik area with rebuilt St. Clements church and the first Slavic University, St.John's church in Kaneo and the Cathedral church St.Sophia in the city center. Later on drive along the beautiful Ohrid lake coast and visit of St.Naum monastery complex.

Unforgettable boat trip with row boats above the springs of Crn (Black) Drim river. Late afternoon drive back to Skopje via the town of Kichevo. Arrival in Skopje early in the evening.
