The National reserve of Lokobe protects most of Nosy Be’s remaining endemic vegetation. It is a primary forest which presents the fantastic fauna and flora in Nosy Be Island. It is located in the east of Nosy Be hell city.

 The excursion at Lokobe reserve is a nice destination for the lovers of nature, you ll spot on different species of wildlife among (the 3 species of wild lemurs (Lemurs macaco, two species lemurs nocturnal: Lepilemur dorsal, Microcebus Manitatra but we ll see them at any time in the forest, Mantilla, lizards, Boa, smallest chameleons, micrel, brookesia minima, birds, raffia tree, traveler tree, palm tree, orchidee, ylang ylang perfume plant, vanilla etc.

To get there: we drive from hell city about 25mn in distance 8km to reach the village of fishermen Ambatozavavy, we ll stop on the way to show you that perfume plant plantation, in arrival in the village , we will get on speedboat to bring us to Lokobe reserve, crossing will take 15mn. After the visit we'll have lunch which will be served in the village, based on a mixture of seafood with some salad, vegetable, rice and fruit as dessert.

Because of the mangrove mud, forest and hiking, take with you mosquito killer (insect spray), hat, sun cream it may be warm in the forest, and walking shoe for hiking and your sweet cameras or phones to get picture for memories the good time in the forest

ITINERARY:

 Departure at 09:00 am return by 4:00pm total duration: 6 hours

 Meeting at the cruise ship port of Nosy Be,

09:00am     Transfer by car and by canoe to lokobe reserve, the crossing will take 1hours

10:00am,    walking, visit the park to see the wildlife, about 2 hours

12:00pm,    Picnic lunch if you have time

14:00pm,    Back to Nosy be by canoe and by car to cruise ship port

15:00pm,    Transfer to Nosy Be cruise ship.
