Luc — Licensed and Experienced Tour Guide in Madagascar & Mauritius

Hello! My name is Luc. I live in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, where I’ve been working as a licensed tour guide since 2008.

My passion for guiding began in childhood. Every year, I would spend holidays with my father at a remote lodge where he worked. There, I discovered the joy of meeting and speaking with travelers from around the world.

I’ve always loved foreign languages and cultural exchange. That early experience shaped my path and inspired me to build a career in tourism.

I hold a diploma in Tourism Business and earned my certification 17 years ago. Since then, I’ve been guiding visitors across the island with professionalism and enthusiasm.

I lead tours in:

  • Italian
  • English
  • French

I offer a wide range of tours, including:

  • Eco tours
  • Cultural experiences
  • Wildlife observation (lemurs, birds, etc.)
  • Botanical and traditional-themed tours
  • Group and private tours
  • Fully customized itineraries based on your needs and interests

My tours cover:

  • All parts of Madagascar — from North to South, East to West
  • Mauritius — I’ve led tours there several times upon request

Top sights and attractions include:

  • Baobab trees
  • Lush tropical forests
  • Lemurs and Madagascar’s unique wildlife
  • Beaches and the Indian Ocean coast

What makes me different from many other guides is a combination of experience, dedication, and the way I connect with people.

With over 15 years of guiding behind me, I’ve come to know Madagascar not just as a place on the map, but as a living, breathing land full of stories and surprises. I’ve explored every corner of the island and built strong connections with local communities and service providers — from hotel owners to boat captains.

Clients often tell me they appreciate my honesty and reliability. I believe that trust is essential, especially when someone is far from home, in a country they may be visiting for the first time.

But above all, it’s my love for this work — and for Madagascar itself — that drives me. Guiding isn’t just a job for me; it’s a passion. I aim to create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere on every tour, while always maintaining professionalism and respect.

Over the years, I’ve received many warm, positive reviews, and I’m proud that so many travelers leave Madagascar not only with beautiful memories but also with the feeling they’ve made a friend.

I don’t just organize trips — I create unforgettable journeys with a personal touch and insider knowledge.

Feel free to get in touch. Let’s build your ideal Madagascar adventure together!
