Culture and History tour in Tunis

Day 1:Tunis -Bardo museum -Carthage-Sidi Bousaid

First,visit the Bardo Museum. Then,

you will be taken to the Carthage to admire the ruins of this once magnificent city.We will visit the Byrsa hill, the roman villas and the cisterns of Malaga . Then you will proceed to a slightly newer town of Sidi Bou Said, located near Carthage with a panoramic view of the bay of Carthage.

Return to the hotel.

Day 3: Today you will see more ancient attractions. In the morning you will be driven to Dougga – the magnificent Roman city that wasn’t deteriorated as heavily as most other Roman cities were. Then you’ll make your way to El Kef to see more Roman, Carthaginian and Muslim sites.

Day 4: Visit the Roman baths in Gafsa and explore the wonderful old mosques of the city before proceeding to Tozeur for even more old Muslim sites to visit.

Day 5: Step close to the Gateway to Sahara in the city of Douz, which is a rather popular point for adventurers to start their journey deep into the sandy void. In the afternoon visit the “invisible” town of Matmata, the houses of which are concealed by rocky landscape and underground cavities.

Day 6: Going to the eastern part of the country to explore the wonderful Roman and Arabic heritage in the cities of El Djem, Kairaouan and Sfax.

Day 7: Spend your morning in Kairouan then head to Hammamet and then the capital, where the tour ends in the evening.
