I am a travel writer, retired history teacher, and named Best Local Guide by the Las Vegas Visitor Guide 2023.

After 12 years in the US Army I obtained my teaching certificate in History and Social Studies and joined my wife, a life-long English, Spanish and Literature teacher. Together we taught in Arizona, California, South Korea and eight wonderful years in Ecuador before coming to Las Vegas.

After I retired from teaching I became a tour guide. First I worked for a high quality tour company. This was an excellent training ground that taught me how to translate my knowledge of history, geography and Las Vegas into tours that were entertaining as well as educational. I then became an independent guide in 2019 and have absolutely loved it ever since. I delight in making each tour into something that my groups absolutely love.

I love the history of Las Vegas and its over-the-top resorts. But I also adore the natural beauty of the surrounding area, where dozens of National and State Parks provide magnificent experiences you will never forget.

I provide a mix of scheduled tours, private tours and I especially love providing customized tours for those who would like a special experience at Las Vegas - one of the most iconic destinations in the world.
