Customer's Opinions about guide from Puerto Montt, Chile
Yesterday may have been our best day in Chile. What I want to thank you for the most is helping to find our guide Viviana. She was a very good fit for our group. She wasprompt, knowledgeable, flexible, and friendly. Having my daughter speak Spanish was also very helpful. More than the other guides that I tried to communicate with, you understood that we did not want to go on a pre-planned tour but wanted to learn about what was possible and make decisions along the way. Viviana was very understanding of this and worked hard to provide us the experiences we were seeking. We were surprised to discover that the hotel we were staying at had no information to provide for tourists nor could anyone in Vina Del Mar help us to find a center with tourist information. Viviana was able to bring us lots of helpful information. So overall, we think that our days with Viviana were really nice and very much worth it for us. We would be happy to recommend this to any new tourist coming to Chile.
Best Regards,
Anne Yee
Good Morning Jaime, We were more than happy to give a good review of our day with you in Puerto Montt area to the Newlands. We hope they book with you and experience a great day as we did. Our photos of that day are some of the best on our trip. Feel free to give our names to anyone for recommendation. The Newlands contacted us by email and we replied that way but also giving our phone and street address. They live only three blocks away! We offered to meet with them or talk on phone, etc. but guess our glowing review of you via email was enough!! Glad to be of any assistance Best Wishes, Lenore and Evan Lancaster PS: None of my friends believe that you and I saw puffs of smoke from that volcano! I know we did.
Jaime, your staff was exceptional. Both the driver and guide did a great job, and the guide was particularly enthusiastic about his job. No complaints of any kind from us, and I would recommend your company to others. I do have one last request. Do you have a Pisco Sour recipe that you are particularly fond of? A friend we met on the ship, who is from peru, claims to have the best Pisco Sour recipe ever invented, but we wanted to give Chile a chance to submit their best too. Sincerely, Russell Schrader
Jaime, Greetings to you and Ercilia. It has taken me a while, but I wanted to get back to you with photographs a description of our day with you, and a testimonial.
Here is the description of the day:
After breakfast, we headed out for our last port day. The weather forecast for today was 71F and Sunny, and what a day we had! We started off with some cloud cover, but by the time we got to Lake Llanquihue, the sun was shining and the gorgeous vista across the lake to the Osorno Volcano was visible. Our Cruise Critic Roll Call group of nine had been met at the pier by Jaime Liebrecht and his driver, Ercilia with a new and comfortable van. En route to Osorno, we made a stop at a little farm, where we walked among some emus and llamas and took lots of pictures as they posed for us. We drove first to the Volcano, bypassing the large tour buses headed for the Petrohue Falls. Once we reached the ski lift, the seven people in our group who were going to Zip Line down the Volcano face headed up on the lift, while the two of us who chose to stay below, relaxed on the terrace and enjoyed the fabulous views in every direction. In addition to Osorno, there are two other volcanoes visible in the area and the lake, and the snow-capped volcanoes and the lush landscape of the valley below make for a truly gorgeous sight.
After about an hour, we climbed up to the last platform to photograph the zip liners as they cruised in. They all had a great time, including Jaime. Next we drove to the Petrohue Falls, which is another fabulous site. You walk out to where the waters from the Volcano surge over some rocks and then continue on with rapids in several directions. On a sunny day like ours, the blue water against the forested sides of the bottom of the volcano is beautiful and we took many photographs.
Then it was on to Puerto Varas for lunch. Since we were all very hungry by this time, this was much anticipated and we were all pleased with Jaime's pick, a little restaurant called El Patio de Mi Casa. We ordered off the menu with Jaime providing translations and ate Salmon a la Plancha (served with a sauce spaetzle, Tortellini Stuffed with Chicken for our son (very good pasta drenched in a delicious cheese sauce), and a Crab Au Gratin dish (Pastel de Jaiba), which was very delicious. For the three of us, with one Crab dish, one Salmon dish, the Tortellini, a beer, Mineral Water, two glasses of White Wine (also terrific), and a Pisco Sour (our son's first, but definitely not his last!) the total was US $43.
We took a few minutes to shop in Puerto Varas before heading back to the ship. Puerto Varas is a charming town with German architecture, spectacular views of the lake and the volcano, and many lovely shops. Although we didn't venture in to check it out, there is also a casino. Our port day had been fabulous and when I look at the pictures taken amidst such gorgeous scenery on such a terrific day, I have no hesitation in saying it was the best day of many excellent days on this cruise.
I am happy to recommend Jaime. He is very knowledgeable, speaks fluent English (and other languages as well) and is a great guy. We all enjoyed our day with him very much.
Thank you for arranging such a wonderful trip for our group. Everyone enjoyed it very much. It was one of the best adventure we had in South America. The guide is such a wonderful person. he's friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We love the canopy adventure very much. Jaime even made a stop at the llamas farm for the kids. Everything was good from beginning to end. You have certainly selected the best and the right tour for our group. Thank you so much. Regards.

Our cruise was extemely late and our time was limited. Jaime improvised a tour which allowed us to see the essential parts and beauty of the Lake Country.
Jaime,The service was excellent. I only wished I had booked you for the Santaigo portion. The tour there was terrible (with another company). Thanks again!Kellie Schonberg
Guide was very passionate about his country and area. He was kind, considerate, patient and explained all that we saw. Absolutely a fantastic tour. Will recommend this site to friends.
Hi Jaime,
Sorry did not get to you before but I am still not fully settled yet after 25 days holiday!!
I want to thank you and congratulate you on your services in Chile. Puerto Montt was great and you were very good and informative. Lunch at Puerto Varas was fantastic. Whole trip was good.
I must mention that Loreto was really good. She went out of her way to help us and make us happy in Santiago. It was a bit difficult, since some of us were very scared because of the tremors there were, but all in all, we enjoyed Santiago and I must say we were very lucky to fly out on our scheduled flights.
Please say a big thank you to Loreto, especially on the last day to the airport. I shall definitely recommend you to anyone wanting to visit Chile, and we have to come again in the future to see Punta Arenas!
Thanks a lot and best regards, Sabrina Gauci
Dear Jaime,
I want to thank you again for a wonderful tour and just for being such a great person. Your timely reply to all my emails made planning easy and efficient. Your cheerfulness and willingness to show us everything possible in a short time made this a truly memorable experience. After spending only a couple of hours with you we felt like we know you for years. And a dinner you took us too!!! Oh my God! It was the best meal we had during a month of traveling.
We feel blessed to get to know you. We still talk about the day we spent with you and smile every time we remember you.
I hope out paths will cross again.

Both our excursions with jaime were superb! They were the best port days we had.
Our guide in Puerto Montt, Claudio, was very personable and had a good plan in mind that balanced our desire to see Orsono Volcano with some threatening weather. My daughters put his adventure skills to the test with a strenuous hike up the ski hill in fierce winds and appreciated his agreeable attitude. He wasn't daunted by the weather and we traipsed through Petrohue Falls in the rain before enjoying a fantastic lunch in Puerto Varas.
We discovered on our cruise that being with fun, friendly and knowledgeable guides made all the difference! The day with Claudio was top notch.
In Punta Arenas we were fortunate to meet Danae. She was a good adventurer as well and joined us for kayaking on the Strait of Magellan. She and the folks running the kayaking concession were really fun and went out of their way to make sure we had a good time. Afterwards we had a very nice meal and she took us to the main square. We met really nice people through Danae that made this day a highlight of our cruise. You couldn't do better than to have her for a guide.
Jaime made all the arrangement for these 2 tours. He and I corresponded by email and Skype. He got back to me immediately with answers to all my questions. The service was excellent!
