I visited Luxor November 14, 2016. Ahmed picked me up at the airport and made my one day in Luxor a memorable day. He is truly a fountain of knowledge about the Valley of the Kings and the other sites on both East and West Banks. His English speaking skills are perfect, he has a great personality, and can answer all of your questions! Ahmed can also arrange tours in Cairo, too. He is connected with some of Egypt's best tour guides. Ahmed also arranged all of my airport/hotel transfers in both Cairo and Luxor, and these made for very smooth transitions. His drivers were always on time and holding a sign so that I could easily locate them. I give Ahmed five stars for making my trip to Egypt perfect!!!!

Ahmed Abdelhamid was as good as earlier reviews suggested. Ahmed followed up on every email and idea and proved a worthwhile itinerary in advance. Upon arrival at Luxor airport Ahmed was there waiting to take us to our hotel and knowledgeably guided us through the various sensational temples day and night, the Valley of the Kings on Xmas Day morning and generally be supportive, helpful and considerate. He has an innate understanding of when to withdraw and when to be on hand when needed. Ahmed's presence definitely limited overly pushing local souvenir sellers and to top it off, Ahmed even provided some tips on how to bargain. He also knows the best spots for great photo opportunities. Ahmed ticks all the boxes for a great English-speaking guide.

This was my second visit to Luxor and the second time that Ahmed has been my guide, yet again what a fantastic experience. My daughter and I travelled from Hurghada to Luxor for 3 Days and Ahmed made it all possible. The price I was quoted for the return trip in Hurghada was ridiculous when I told Ahmed he sent his own driver to collect us at a time to suit us and at a price that knocked spots off the competition. Whilst in Luxor nothing was too much trouble. I had been unable to get an Egyptian sim in Hurghada and Ahmed had one waiting for me in Luxor. He even managed to get a better price on the hotel for me. I cannot recommend his service strongly enough. He is a truly friendly, knowledgeable, professional, gentle man in the true sense of the word.

Initially I only visited Luxor as it’s was something my mother was very passionate about and so went along to keep her company. I had no real interest in visiting the sights and was a little sceptical as to how interesting I would find it but Ahmed really changed my mind!
He made the whole experience very enjoyable and took great care of us throughout our three day stay.
I particularly enjoyed the evening visit to Luxor temple, it’s was so beautiful, you could say I was won over right there!
My partner would like to take a trip to Cairo and there's no doubt we'll be giving Ahmed a call.

A very good guide with outstanding manners and patience. He is flexible and happy to change plans to suit you. There were days when if it became too hot we preferred to go back to the hotel, Ahmed was happy to drop us off and come back later to finish the day or even leave it till the next day. You never feel that you are causing him a problem.
I will definitely use his services again, and I will go back to Luxor.

Furthermore, arranged transport for us (to and from Hurghada where we were staying) with a private chauffeur and ensured private transportation throughout our stay in Luxor. Finally, he was very flexible with any changes in plans from our part, which we really valued.

I can highly recommend Ahmed,he is the only guide I would use in Luxor. He is always pleasant, courteous and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for him, he goes out of his way to make sure that you enjoy your trips. There is never pressure to buy extras and he does his best to ensure you do not get hassle from street vendors. His English is excellent and his knowledge of the sites is second to non. Not only does he explain the history he explains how the building were constructed, how obelisks were erected etc. He takes great pleasure in sharing this beautiful city with you.
