Information about Trogir
The ancient Adriatic harbor town, Trogir, is located on a small island just off the Croatian mainland. Just a small town with a population of just over 13,000 residents, Trogir is one of the most well-preserved medieval cities in Europe and its historic center is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The pleasant climate and calm blue waters of Trogir Harbor have welcomed visitors for more than 2300 years, many of whom have contracted for Trogir shipbuilding services and others who came for the fishing. Boat tours, fishing excursions and watersport adventure tours are popular activities for tourists in Trogir, but the main attraction here is the historic city itself.
Trogir abounds with amazing architectural accomplishments of Romanesque, Rennaissance and Venetian eras. Beautiful churches and castles offer enticing scenery, with such notable landmarks as St. Lawrence Cathedral, St. Dominic Monastery, Fortress Kamerlengo, the Duke’s Palace and St. Michael’s Bell Tower.
