Come and visit some of the iconic locations used in filming Downton Abbey. Highclere Castle is where it was mainly filmed. This is the home of the fictional Earl and Countess of Grantham and their three daughters. Highclere Castle is not open all year round, just in the Easter and summer holidays.

When Highclere Castle is closed there are still other places that can be visited. For example - the house that was used for the interiors of Grantham House in London, the village of 'Downton' and the church where Lady Mary married Matthew Crawley, the pub where Lady Sybil was found after she ran away with the chauffeur, Tom Branson or the house the Grantham's were intending to move to when the Earl lost his money.

It is not possible to visit all these places in one day. Depending on the time of year and which places are open, we can plan a day tour to make the most of your time in England.

It is also possible to take a Downton Abbey tour in London and you can eat in the same restaurants as Lady Mary and Lady Edith.
