Wales, Scotland and England are the three countries that make up Great Britain. Each of them appears to be of great interest to tourists and, if you like, we can visit either one of them or all three of them.

I am a professional private guide for South West England, so why not visit Cornwall, which is one of the most popular tourist areas with links to the legendary King Arthur and his mysterious wizard Merlin. The coastline is wonderful and you would enjoy exploring little bays and charming old fishing villages and harbours.  There are lots of old tin mines and gardens in Cornwall, and an old china clay pit has been turned into the Eden Project, which is well worth a visit.

On the way to Cornwall we could stop at the world famous city of Bath.  It is a World Heritage Site, where you can take a look at sublime Georgian architecture and the actual ancient Roman baths.

Another popular place in England is the Lake District. This is in the north-west of England, en route to Scotland.  As a private guide for Cumbria I can show you places associated with various literary figures such as William Wordsworth, Beatrix Potter, John Ruskin and others. Indeed, it is a poetic place, where you can enjoy magnificent views of the mountains and lakes.  

A private tour of Britain can  include a visit to Scotland, and some of its most popular sites. Spend some time in the capital city of Edinburgh.  Then venture out to the Highlands and visit Loch Ness, and maybe catch a glimpse of  the legendary monster.  Scotland has many castles, gardens, scenic drives and prehistoric sites.  There is something for everyone.

We mustn't forget Wales, which has some wonderful scenery and castles, especially in the north-west around Snowdon. We can visit Caernarvon Castle, where Prince Charles was invested as the Prince of Wales in  1969. 

There is no set tour.  A private tour around Britain can be for a short duration of a few days or a longer exploration of the three countries.  It is your choice.
