An excellent tour for families or groups of friends looking to have a great time in nature. This one day tour is a wonderful opportunity to explore two traditional Carpathian villages, Magura and Pestera, located in the beautiful and wild Piatra Craiului National Park.

The tour involves around 5-6 hours of easy walking in breathtaking landscapes. The effort is nonetheless is easy to make and you shouldn't have any problems in taking with you kids above 7 years old.

The tour starts and ends in Bucharest. We leave early morning towards Brasov, the largest city close to the two villages. We enter the national park through Zarnesti and drive on a mountain road to Magura. We leave the car here and start our walking part of the tour.

We' walk on scenic dirt roads available only on foot, without any kind of danger. On our way to Pestera, we see traditional wooden houses and the majestic Bucegi and Piatra Craiului Mountains around us. From Pestera, we head back on a different road, enjoying another splendid mountainous landscape.
