It is also worth noting that Chile is known and respected for its marvelous and unique wine. This private tour will be especially interesting for wine connoisseur, or just people who appreciate good wine. Note that the tour lasts for approximately seven hours, that’s why we will have to begin early in the morning if it is ok with you.
We will meet in the morning and drive directly to the universally known vineyard called Concha y Toro. It is worth noting that this vineyard is considered to be the most important and probably the largest wine exporter in the whole Chile. That’s why it is well-known in other countries among the wine connoisseurs. It is located in the southern part of Santiago, the capital and largest city of Chile. The soil in this region is very fertile, and that’s why wine production is flourishing there. Concha y Toro is quiet and old vineyard, founded in the end of the 19th century – in 1883. It is situated in the Maipo Valley, right next to the beautiful and well-groomed park and the old family mansion, which is called “La Chascona”.
The mansion is as old as the vineyard, and dates back to the middle of the 19th century. During our private tour we will visit the wine cellars, take a look at the facilities, visit the historical museum, and in the end you will have a unique opportunity to taste several kinds of the famous Chilean wine. Any Chile private guide would recommend you to take this tour because it allows to learn something about the history of wine production in Chile, gives an opportunity to take a look at the facilities and above all to taste the legendary wine. Concha y Toro vineyards are so popular due to the wine, produced there: Marques de Casa Concha, Don Melchor, and Castillero del Diablo.
These are the three wines which are known all over the world. After visiting the cellars and tasting the wine we will proceed to the marvelous Maipo River Valley, which is situated very close to the Andes Mountains. Any private guide in Santiago would also recommend you to visit San Jose de Maipo, a little town situated nearby. It is so small that it could be considered to be a country village. You will be able to take a look at a traditional Chilean village, enjoy the fresh air and the spectacular view of the mountains.
