Santiago is a remarkable place to discover!

It is the capital and main economic and political center of Chile. Besides that it is considered to be the heart of the Chilean culture and education. No wonder so many tourists visit Santiago each year. As the matter of fact private guides in Santiago are always in demand due to the fact that so many people are interested in exploring its numerous beauties. This tour usually lasts for approximately four hours, so make sure you have at least half a day at your disposal. However the schedule is not rigid. On the contrary it is very flexible, and it is possible to accommodate your requests and desires regarding the time to begin the tour, and the general duration of the tour. This tour would be really interesting for any kind of tourist, but especially for those who are interested in history and culture of Santiago.

Our first destination will be the most important building in the whole city – La Moneda Palace. It is worth noting that this palace used to serve as the official residence of the Chilean presidents up till 1958. Currently it is used in the capacity of the government seat. It is quite an old building, which was opened more than two centuries ago. After exploring the palace we will proceed to the central square of Santiago – LA Plaza Armada. Most of the Chile private guides would recommend you to visit this wonderful place due to the fact that it represents great interest, and more importantly it is surrounded by lots of other tourist attractions and architectural monuments.

You will be impressed by the beautiful medieval Cathedral Metropolitana! Not far from there we will find the National Hisotrical Museum, where you will learn a lot of interesting things about the history and culture of Chile. Our next destination will be the Central Post Office, which is also worth seeing. At this point we will leave the downtown area and proceed to the Forestal Park. On our way to the park we will pass through the Fine Arts Museum, and the most bohemian quarter of Santiago called Bellavista.

Our next destination will be the famous San Cristobal hill, the place where Santiago is believed to be founded. We will have a walk in a beautiful and well-groomed public park, known for its giant sculpture of Virgin Mary (approximately 34 meters high).  At the end of the tour we will have lunch in one of the local restaurants. However you should know that the lunch is not included in the price of the tour, and it is optional.
