If you want to see the most popular tourist attractions in Shanghai that represent very different sides of the city, this particular tour will provide the best opportunity to do so. YuYuan Garden
This extraordinary example of a classic Chinese garden was established back in 1559 as an Imperial garden, and has seen little changes since then. Sometimes you just can’t believe that it’s located near the Old City in Shanghai – so calming and relaxing this place is. The garden is broken down into six main sections, each carrying different scenic spots where you can enjoy a moment of silence near a pond or at a tea house.
The Bund
This part of Shanghai highlights a very different part of its history, namely the European influence during the XIXth century. Most of the building you’ll see in this district were built during the French rule and carry a prominent European look to them. You’ll see all sorts of styles, ranging from Classic Roman to Gothic, which makes this place really unique and fascinating.
Xintiandi
Notable for its traditionally-styled shikumen buildings, this car-free district of Shanghai is well-known for having lots of classy boutiques, restaurants, bars and art galleries. A good hang-out place if you’d like to spend your night in the city.
Jade Buddha Temple
A fine example of Buddhist culture in China, this particular temple was built in 1882 in order to house two jade Buddha statues, which are important artifacts for the local Buddhist community.
