Hungary is famous for its incomparable wines, and along with customized guided tours in Budapest, there are many others, which focus on the tourist attractions and Hungarian landmark outside of the city. We will start out tour in Holloko, a lovely ethnographic village in Hungary. It is worth noting that it is a part of the World Heritage. The name of the village means “raven-stone” in the local language, which is Hungarian. It is situated not far from Budapest, so it won’t take much time to get there.

There are only 67 authentic peasant homes. You will have a unique opportunity to walk along the narrow paved roads, and take a look at the rural way of life in Hungary. By the way, the nature is also protected in Holloko. This small village has become a part of the UNESCO World Heritage in 1987. After a thorough exploration of the village, we will proceed to the baroque town Eger.  As the matter of fact, this city has a world-wide fame due to its sublime castle, numerous thermal baths, and a great variety of historic buildings.

Of equal importance are the red and white wines of the region. Eger is a very old city. We may even call it ancient, as far it has been inhabited by various tribes since the Stone Age. But Eger in its today’s image was built in the 10th century by the first Christian Hungarian king – St. Stephen.
