Jerusalem is located on a plateau in the Judean Mountains situated between the Mediterranean and Dead Sea and is among the oldest cities in the entire world.   The city is described by having a hot-summer Mediterranean climate with dry, hot summers and mild, wet winters. Jerusalem has a terrific museum called the Israel Museum which brings in almost one million tourists per year. 

The expansive museum complex is made up of a few buildings that highlight special exhibits and wide-ranging collections of Judaica, archaeological findings, as well as Israeli and European art. The Dead Sea scrolls are contained in the Museum's Shrine of the Book.  The National Cemetery of Israel is positioned at the city's western edge at close proximity to the Jerusalem Forest on Mount Herzl.  Mount of Remembrance, the place where the central Holocaust museum of Israel is sited, is found at Mount Herzl.  

The Israel Festival showcases indoor and outdoor presentations by local and international singers, has concerts, plays, and a street theater.  The Jerusalem Theater in the Talbiya district offers more than 150 concerts per year, including performing artists from abroad.  The Jerusalem Biblical Zoo is a wonderful point of interest that vacationers enjoy taking excursions to.  Culinary delights in this city are delicious and terrific service is provided at restaurants.  Additionally, there are plenty of shops where guests are able to pick up a vast array of souvenirs.  With all it has to offer, why not keep Jerusalem in mind when arranging an approaching vacation.
