TREK Detail

21 Days Adventure, 15 days’ strenuous trek, 15 nights camping, and 6 nights in hotels. Maximum Elevation 5,700 meters

Situated in the heart of the Karakoram range in Shimshal, the remotest valley in the whole range. The mountains are some of the toughest, with some of the high virgin peaks lying here. You start the trip in Islamabad and drive on the legendary Karakoram Highway to Skardu, Askolil, from where we take soft-top 4×4 jeeps to enter to reach the main village – Ascoli in the valley. From the village it is 11 days trek to the summer settlement, towering above 6050m Peak Manglik Sar and two lakes and flower-filled meadows roamed by Yaks. After resting in meadows, we take a 2 days trek toward Chikar the right over Shimshal Pass then reached Shimshal village.

Itinerary

Day -01  Fly to Pakistan/ Flight Self

Set up camp, and explore the surrounding area. Take a leisurely stroll around the campground and get familiar with the facilities and amenities available. After setting up camp, take a short hike on one of the nearby trails to get a sense of the local flora and fauna. As the day comes to a close, enjoy a campfire meal and get a good night’s rest in preparation for the days ahead.
