This tour explores many regions of the Tunisia, from the Roman amphitheatre of EL Jem, to the semi-arid and oasis regions of southern Tunisia providing a wonderful opportunity to enjoy and appreciate Tunisia within only two days.

Day 1: Today we depart to El jem where we will explore the Roman amphitheatre dating back to 238 AD then we head to Matmata for lunch. Following lunch we will visit a Berber family living in a troglodyte dwelling and Sidi Driss, the location filming of Star Wars 1(1979).From Matmata we drive south to Douz, a small town that appears to be plopped down amidst the dunes. The village is known as the gateway to the Sahara .Here you will enjoy a camel trek in the desert. Overnight in Douz

Day 2: This morning After breakfast we drive southwest crossing the huge Chott El Jerid Tunisia’ s most impressive dry lake with spectacular views over the oasis and the surrounding area. After a brief stop on the dry lake we continue to Tozeur for a walk in the daily market and the old town. It is an opportunity to see the real daily life and admire the unique architectural style of this city. From Tozeur we head west towards the oasis of Chebika and Tamerza where many scenes of the movie Star Wars Episode IV and The English Patient were shot. Here you will enjoy a walking tour through the high palm trees and the natural water springs.

After lunch at Gafsa We make our way back to the hotel via Kairouan; the holy city famous for its great mosque. back to hammamet .End of the tour
